Reflection

It’s the end of the year. 2015 is done. It’s actually one of my favorite times of the year.  I get to look back and celebrate my accomplishments. I start reflecting on how this year has gone.

Was it aligned with my theme that I set at the begining of the year?

Did I live out my goals and dreams.  Maybe, and maybe not all of them.

I start to remind my self to also prepare for the upcomig year.

How does one reflect and celebrate if you didn’t achieve what you set out to do?

First start with identifying the reasons why you might not have. We are all eager at the begining of the year but as we all know, life happens.

It’s not a time to feel bad or sad, it’s just a time to turn inward. To listen to your inner voice.

Here is a simple meditation to ensure a reflective state of mind.

Sit in a comfortable position, arms on knees. Palms facing open. This means you are being receptive. Close your eyes and start to feel your breath rhythms. As you inhale fill the belly and as you exhale release. Think of a word that you can repeat to yourself (ex: OM or PEACE) when your mind starts to wander.

Continue to focus on your breath.  Breathing in positive energy and releasing anything that no longer serves you!

Meditation if practiced for only 10 min. a day,  boosts the immune system by 60%

Now that’s a win and something to Celebrate.

Once you begin to open your eyes, start to reflect on all that you have, all that you are and all that you give to the world.

Celebrate and Happy Holidays!
