This Really Works!

With all that’s going on right now in this world, we can make a difference. Even if it’s only in our own mind.

Let’s start with a little holiday magic.

The word magic means “the power of influencing the course of events by using mysterious or supernatural forces”

How can something alter the course of anything, let alone by a mysterious force?

Quantum physics says that as you go deeper into the workings of the atom, you see that there is nothing there – just energy waves. It says an atom is actually an invisible force field, a kind of miniature tornado, which emits waves of electrical energy.

They are measured waves but not seen, which makes it electrical. We are all made up of atoms. Atoms give off light and energy.  Every cell has atoms inside or outside that line up with a positive or negative voltage; which clearly means that all lving things are an electro-magnetic energy field.

Guess what has the largest electro-magnetic energy field in our body?  You guessed it, your brain.

Your thoughts, positive or negative emit energy.

That energy is vibrated to all other living things.

A former Harvard medical professor, Dr. Bruce Lipton, also a best-selling author of “Your mind is greater than your genes” explains that when two energy waves meet either there is either a constructive powerful effect or a deconstructive effect.  What you choose to think is the wave, and the wave is either met with a powerful positive force or a negative force.

There you have it….my magic secret .

We all want change in the world right, then start with your thoughts.

That will have a ripple effect like a wave and your reality (your life) and the world which you view will be effected in a constructive powerful way.

Remember the line from Glinda, the good witch in “The wizard of Oz”

” You had the power in you all along”

Make this holiday season magical for you and everyone else in this world.

Emit poweful positive vibes to everyone who passes judgement and BE THE CHANGE  you want to see in this world.

Well,there is scientific proof that we are all energy

  There is something greater than myself out there. You can call it “The Universe, God, Buddha, etc.”

How I connect to my outter Core during a pretty jam packed season is thru more mindfull movement exercises. I deepen my yoga practice so that I may quiet the mind more. I focus more on my pilates practice so that each movement is deliberate and with intention.  I might even do a TRX routine in the place of my normal weight training.  I practice being a bit more gentle with my self during such a crazy but fun time of year.

The most important thing I do is meditate for about 10 min a day. That’s it and that 10 minutes renews and restores me.

What if you hate the holidays? What if its all too stressfull for you?

What if these few simple exercises/stretches done daily can get you through the season with ease?

Here is my rountine for you …if done daily for the month, I promise you a better than ever season.

My 6  (six) proven and effective holiday stress busters:

1) Before you get out of bed…almost as soon as your rub your eyes, thank God, the Universe, A Higher Power, whatever/whomever  you pray to. Thank them for Breath. Breath is LIFE.   Be grateful for another day!

A day filled with lots of opportunities and blessings for you to experience. Look for them throughout your day and before your close your eyes at the end of your day, remind yourself of them.

2) Stretch …..raise your hands over your head and reach your finger tips to the ceiling while your heels touch the floor. Clasp hands behind you and relax your shoulder blades down your back and tuck your chin to your chest. Repeat this affirmation ” I will honor myself today by smiling as often as I can” Now smile..

Factoid (you use more muscles to frown than smile ) Ladies…..less wrinkles and less frown lines    That’s a win-win!

3)This can be done anytime of the day…Lay on the floor and stretch arms over head and feet out. As if you are a piece of taffy and I am pulling you from each end.  Cross your right leg over left and have your left hand grab your right wrist. Feel the opposition in the stretch …yummy.  Switch legs.  This can also be done standing. Try it!

4) Stand with your legs out wide and swoop your arms overhead and then down. See if you can grab your ankles. This can be done with legs bent or straightened. The important part of this is to let the head (which weighs 7 lbs ) just hang down.   Relax and breathe. You can rest your hands on the floor or even you elbows if you want.

This simple pose alleviates anxiety and useless worry.   Heck, ladies it’s even anti-aging.    WOOO HOOO!  Stay there for as long as your body is comfortable.

5) Meditate..sit or lay down quietly. Close your eyes and repeat the word OM as you inhale and exhale. If thoughts float in, think of them as clouds passing by. Focus on your breath.

6) This is my favorite and most important…clothing optional 🙂

Turn up your favorite music and dance!!  Just rock it out…DANCE and SMILE
