The fat season is approaching, along with all things pumpkin. The enjoyment of this season feels a bit different.
Covid has made a huge impact on how we redefine enjoyment. Indoor dining is opening at 25% capacity and outdoor dining is becoming tricky due to cooler weather.
Pumpkins are still a thing but schooling seems to be a point of discernment. Most of these children are dealing with stressors that are causing them to feel isolated. Teachers and parents all over the world are stressed out and in need of some normalcy.
The one constant is, this too shall pass.
The ebb and flow. The yin and yang. Seasons come and seasons go. If we can navigate through this crazy fall season, the leaves will settle and the next season will begin.
Whether you’re working out from home or in an outdoor setting, the fact that your body is moving is essential.
If Covid has shown us anything, it’s that your health will make all the difference in your immune system.
Like the changing seasons and cycles our body goes through the same. As fall approaches the days are shortened and we begin to prepare for the winter months. This means we need to start to root. This means food should consist mostly of root veggies. We must also remember that autumn is when we harvest our intensions and we plant them.
Spring is a time of regrowth and new possibilities, while summer is a time to appreciate all that has bloomed from the harvesting we did in the fall. Take some time to appreciate the cycles of our life in conjunction to the seasons.
Begin to prepare for the winter by rooting your day to day and eating more root veggies. The full harvest moon is on Oct. 1st this year, so be ready with your intentions so you can plant them. Think of next summer 2021 and what you will have bloomed in your life.
Happy Fall y’all and just remember, this too shall pass.
