March Challenge

 

I challenge you to live more mindfully.

Oh no, what does that even mean you’re thinking?

Meditation? Yoga? Zen living? Buddha?

What is she talking about?  How do I live more mindfully and why should I even want to?

Mindful Living is being conscious and present with your life at every minute. It means with intention and purpose. It means being truly alive.

Did that get your attention?

That doesn’t mean that while your bingeing on Game of Thrones you aren’t living mindfully. To the contrary, you are living with intention and purpose. This is what you choose to watch for a few hours. Own it.

Mindful Living is being present, with intention and purpose.

Let’s take eating for instance.

Many women over 50 struggle with menopausal weight gain. It’s no wonder when they are eating quickly while taking care of grandchildren, or they are just eating mindlessly.

In midlife it is most important to eat with intention, to nourish more.

The more you intentionally eat with purpose, the less weight you’ll gain. That’s a fact

This month I am challenging you to live with purpose and intention and more importantly notice where you’re not.
