Midlife Meditation

By now we’ve all heard about the benefits of meditation and how it can change our life.

What about how it can enhance our midlife?

Midlife is a time of transition and change, both physically and physiologically. Most days we hardly recognize ourselves. It’s a struggle between who we used to be and who we are becoming. We deal with all these changes and then some. Some days we contemplate how close the end of life is. Other days we experience a very liberating feeling, that life is just beginning.

We vacillate between these two thoughts. It’s midlife mayhem 🙂

I have a simple meditative technique that I use and so do my clients, that includes movement. That’s right, no sitting in silence and chanting, Moving meditations are very powerful. It’s backed by the study of Nero Science.

You must walk, anywhere in nature, park, beach, forest, you get the idea.

Repeat this to yourself as you walk

I am healthy and happy.  I am where I need to be at this moment. I release the old and welcome the new. I am filled with joy and excitement for what the future will bring.  I am enough just as I am.
