ML method

Find out how Oreo Cookies can improve your health!!

Let’s start by diving into the art of actually eating an oreo cookie. There is an art, and I am one of those people that know it well.

You begin with a tall glass of cold milk. You proceed to examine the cookie as if you are searching for some hidden message.

You begin to twist open the cookie, carefullly very carefully, not to mess up the creame. You open the cookie with a goal of keeping all the creame on one side.

You then, strategically line up your teeth so that you can gather the creame in your mouth. Some people I was told, use their bottom teeth. Others just their top teeth. Some even lick the creame.

Whatever the method, the creame is there to savor!

It’s not over though, we still have the two cookie rounds to dive into. But wait, the milk is still there waiting to be used in this beautiful process.

We take the one half and dunk it right into the milk…ahh, the moment we waited for.

Some people I am told eat the two ends together. I personally like this to linger so I go for eating them indivually.

Think about this for a moment, in  your life, do you go for the creame first?

The center (core) of who you are.

Do you honor that place? Do you live your life aligned with what’s at the core of you.

Let me explain and share some secrets to get your health back on track!

Optimal health is defined in the websters dictionary as “to be free of disease” and while that’s true, as  a fitness professional and Life Coach I know there is more than just piece of the cookie.

Look at your life like an oreo cookie and divide it into sections. My suggestions are the examples below.

Who are you at the core?

Most people can not answer that. Here is a simple 5 step proven effective tool to help you start to figure this out so you can live your life eating the creame first.

     1) List 10 of your best qualities/traits.

    2) Ask a trusted friend or family member (the more people you ask, the more solid your answer will be) for them to descibe you in 3 words.

3)Do any of them match the way you saw yourself?

    4) Narrow it down (between theirs and yours) and pick your top 3

    5) Do you live in alignment with these qualities or traits in all areas of your life?

Here is an example:

I listed my best qualities and enlisted some trusted friends and fellow coaches.

Here is the top 3 traits that I came up with

                          1)motivating

                          2)positive

                           3) energetic

For those of you who know me, you are smiling!  That’s the creame or that’s me in the core of who I am.

Now that we found the core, let’s explore the cookie.

When I intially work with clients, I first send them a questionare that they must fill out.

Sort of like a wheel of life. Although that’s too generic for me, I designed my own.

That helps us determine which area of life needs to be the focus so that you can start to live in alignment to your core.

Example:  Pieces of cookie include

  • HEALTH (overall)
  • WEATH  (your finances)
  • FAMILY/FRIENDS/COMMUNITY (sense of belonging)
  • LEISURE/FUN(how much and what is it for you)
  • SPIRITUALITY (higher power)
  • WORK/CAREER(what you do for a living)
  • RELATIONSHIP WITH SELF(a forgotten piece of the cookie that is most important for women)

Now go back to question #5 and review these pieces of the cookie.  Do you live in alignment with who you are at your creame?

“We all want to savor the creame in our cookie, but first we must identify what and where it is”…Tweetable

My hopes is that you view your life like an oreo cookie and make sure you get to eat the creame first because the rest is just extra.

In health xo
