How to find balance, to improve posture

Hi my ageless beauties,

As we approach midlife one of the major concerns is to stay injury free. We may fear falling on the ice and we are also noticing we can’t balance as well as we used to. This post is going to change the way you look at Balancing your body and your life.

Balance: an even distribution of weight enabling someone or something to remain upright and steady

When we think of the thought of balance in our lives we think of a thirty-something girl. Just stepping out of her twenties quite carefree. She is now hustling a career, probably has a child or two. Married or in a serious relationship, juggling friends, trying to find time to fit in exercise. She is feeling a bit crazed with the just the thought of the word balance.

Fast forward to midlife and here we are again, the word balance is striking that same nerve. I mean we have grown children, aging parents, grandchildren and we are trying to remind ourselves that this is the best time of our lives to gain back some balance and start to focus on ourselves, more travel, and way more fun. However that dreaded word balance is still making us feel uneasy.

In midlife we might start to literally feel uneasy on our feet.  As we age our joints have taken some wear and tear. We may notice different aches and pains. The most common places are shoulders, knees and hips. In midlife we are starting to feel the effects of aging.  When we are walking we might  begin to trip more easily. We might even have taken some falls in midlife.  In menopause we might get our first diagnosis of osteopenia or osteoporosis.  We will also see our posture in a very different way, rounded shoulders and forward head. Reminds us of our grandmothers.

There are ways to take back the balance in our lives. First, we must recognize our body and where it is at. We need to start at the foot. Did you know that as a Barefoot specialist we understand the connection of the foot to core. We call it: from the ground up training. When we look at the foot we realize all the nerve endings that provide sensory information feedback to us.  There are companies like Naboso Technologies that have designed textured insoles to be worn in any shoe, sneaker or boot. These textured insoles are improving posture and gait patterns from the ground up using barefoot science. The one contact point between the body and the ground is the foot.

I actually wear the insoles and I can attest to their effectiveness. I myself have some hip/knee issues and it sometimes causes my meniscus to tear. While rehabbing my knee, I was fortunate to try out these insoles. The minute I put them on, I felt a huge difference in my awareness and  my core connection. My husband also just had meniscus surgery and he started wearing the insoles while he was in PT and to quote him “these insoles make me feel like standing taller and being more conscious of my posture, they make my knee feel better”

I am a distributor for these insoles. If you are interested in standing taller, connecting more to your core so that you can balance better,PLEASE contact me.

The insoles are $50.00

Please feel free to contact me as I am a distributor for Naboso Insoles.

Let’s begin to take back our balance from the ground up
