ML method

Pay attention to this if you want to lose belly fat

I gave a workshop to my ladies in The ML Method on Hormone Balance this month, and wow lots of information to process.

Everything relates to our hormones. There is so much to know as we navigate our 3rd age and beyond.

Here is a snippet of some of the information I shared with them.

Did you know that each transition in a woman’s menopausal journey is effected by their hormones?

Let’s see how much you do know about Hormone Health.

Here are some questions for you;

  1. Do you have hormones, like Estrogen, as a post menopausal woman?
  2. What is the most important hormone to pay attention to in menopause and post menopause?
  3. What controls your metabolism?
  4. How many hormones should a peri menopausal, menopausal and post menopausal woman be aware of?
  5. What is one of the many products that we use daily, that is an endocrine disrupter?

Ok, now let’s see how you did.

Answer 1. Yes, you still have estrogen after menopause. In fact there are 3 different types of Estrogen.

Answer 2. Cortisol and Serotonin   Cortisol is the fight or flight hormone, the stress hormone. Serotonin is the feel good hormone. Keeping your cortisol levels in check and focusing on raising your joy.

Answer 3.  Calories do not control your metabolism, your hormones do.

Answer 4. 12. We have the dirty dozen of hormones that we should be aware of in midlife and beyond.

Answer 5. Deodorant or Antiperspirant   Use aluminum free

I hope you see how critical paying attention is to your hormone health.

Lowering your cortisol levels is key to maintaining good hormone health. As a Medical Menopausal Fitness Professional, I usually recommend Yoga and Pilates as well as meditation to lower cortisol and increase Serotonin.  I also take a daily supplement, all natural which supports Hypothalmic-Pituitary Adrenal Axis.   AKA, Hormone support.

It is filled with calming adaptogens like holy basil and ashwagandha. It’s like meditation in a bottle.
