How to lose 10lbs quick after 50

The treaded belly fat that came out of nowhere. Your jeans are too tight, You gained 10 lbs even while going to the gym. Yikes!

You are looking for the quick fix right? Here it is, it doesn’t exist.

After 50 our hormones go a bit crazy. Most articles and information out there suggests that once a woman goes through menopause, she will gain excess belly fat. That is just not true. While we can blame hormones for slowing down our metabolism, we cannot blame it entirely on weight gain. After 50 or menopause, because some women go through it earlier, we must pay attention to our diet. We must avoid white flour, processed foods, and of course limit sugar. No crazy diet, just attention to the food you are eating, It is possible to lose weight after menopause, I did.  Many of my clients also did. How you ask? We paid attention to what our body needed vs. wanted and we made small changes in our diets. It didn’t happen over night, but we did lose weight.

As for exercise, that is where we need to really pay attention. Contrary to what information is out there, exercise more intensely after 50 is not the best idea, As a fitness professional and a corrective exercise specialist for the aging women’s body, less is sometimes better.

What do I mean by that, well for starters, do what makes you feel good. Movement is key and to maintain movement longevity there are a few that matter more than others. You can find these at The ML Method.

When we learn to pay close attention to the food we are eating and how we exercise for our body after 50 , the weight comes off.
